Freshly milled Heavenly Rice is packed in Thailand so that none of its characteristic aroma is lost.

This new premium brand, only available from See Hoy Chan (1988) Pte Ltd, is certified Grade A under Thailand's stringent fragrant rice grading system.

What is the difference between fragrant rice and white rice?

Add 1 to 1.5 cups of water to every cup of rice. Vary the amount of water according to your preference. Less water for firmer rice and more water for softer and fluffier rice.
Let the cooked rice stand for 10 minutes then eat it steaming hot for the most fragrant aroma and tender texture.

Find a non-metallic container that's size is at least twice the amount of rice to be cooked. Wash rice and add desired amount of water. Cover with a cling film, or plastic wrap, or plate (non-metallic) and cook on "High" for 5 minutes. Leave rice undisturbed and cook for another 15 minutes on ½ power. Fluff with fork and eat.

Transfer the rice to a rice steaming pan with a metal basket for the rice. Steam for 10 minutes for fragrant rice, and 15 minutes for brown rice.
The lid should be kept on while rice is steaming. Check for 'done-ness' by taking a couple of grains of rice. If the rice centre is noticeably hard, leave to steam for a couple more minutes.

Once the rice pack is opened, keep Heavenly Rice in an airtight container and store in a dry, cool place. Leftover cooked rice should be allowed to cool before being kept in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 7 days or frozen for up to 3 months.

Add a dash of ingenuity, sprinkle with patience and a pinch of inspiration to your Heavenly recipes, and you'll be cooking up a storm right out of your own kitchen. Enjoy Heavenly Rice with these ingenious recipes.
